June 18th-Arriving in Egypt

The flight to Jordon was long but good, except for we both noticed there were more screaming children on the flight then we have ever experienced before.  At first they all seemed like a chorus of crying and screaming, but then as they settled down it appeared that they needed to take turns the entire 12 hours (thank you for headphones!!!)  Anyway, as we landed in Jordon the thought of "watch there will be a Starbucks in this airport" crossed my mind and of course there was one so we laughed about that (but we had coffee at the local cafe instead).  You could tell right away we were in a foreign country as their were women with veils and some in full birka.  Everyone was very friendly so we felt very comfortable.  We then flew to Cairo and were met by Kaled, our tour rep, he helped us get our Visa's and everything was smooth and easy.  The hotel we are staying at in Cairo, The Semiramis Intercontinental, http://www.intercontinental.com/intercontinental/en/gb/locations/croha?sicontent=0&sicreative=6095541424&sitrackingid=162544824&dp=true&siclientid=2055 is beautiful and overlooks the Nile River. The city never sleeps and their is a constant hustle and bustle of traffic and horns.  The Nile has a life of it's own changing from working boats in the day to party boats at night.  It is good to be here safe and sound!!
